Located in the historic Murray Hill district, this hotel is a calm retreat. Times Square, Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building are all within easy reach on foot. Decorated in a European style, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with mini kitchenettes that are great for making yourself something quick to eat. There are also many restaurants a minutes from the hotel. There are great views of the Manhattan skyline from its rooftop garden which is a lovely place to relax, and the Rare Bar & Grill serves some nice food, with the speciality being a twist on the American favourite, the hamburger! The staff are friendly, polite and always helpful - really great! There are good transport links a short walk from the hotel, so all of New York is easily acessible.

Excellent
I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the studio suite. The staff was excellent - especially the bellman - Denny. We were not expecting much at the price, but we were really happy with our experience at this hotel.

The hotel was a pretty decent value in terms of room size, but the lobby and other common areas far exceed the cleanliness and stylishness of the rooms. Additionally, I had a large cockroach in my bathroom which is simply unacceptable for a $300/nig
