Fantastic hotel close to lots of Manhattan tourist attractions. Big bedroom with 2 really comfy queen beds. Clean bathroom and small kitchen both adequate for a short stay. Safe deposit box in room, plus hairdryer and huge TV. Fantastic roof-top views of Empire State Building and Chrysler Building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will most certainly return. It felt totally safe, no problems. Thank you for a great stay.

30 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
The location was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were not all modern. The bathrooms were old and the kitchen was older style, but everything was clean. The room service was great.
This hotel made me feel welcome: They greeted us right at the doors.

I love the huge rooms and the friendly doormen in black. On my last visit, the non smoking room smelt of smoke and the towels were not clean. The room service is terrific and reasonably priced.

I love the hotel. I have stayed there many times in the past and I have always been treated like royalty. I will definitely stay there again.

We always stay at the Shelburne Murray Hill hotel. This trip was as great as ever.
This hotel made me feel welcome: Every member of the staff seemed to go out of his or her way to help.

This is a nice hotel.
This hotel made me feel practical: It was a good hotel in downtown New York that was convenient and inexpensive for our stay.

The Shelburne has only improved during the past few years. Of special interest is the pillow selection and high quality linens.

The hotel was a pretty decent value in terms of room size, but the lobby and other common areas far exceed the cleanliness and stylishness of the rooms. Additionally, I had a large cockroach in my bathroom which is simply unacceptable for a $300/night hotel in NY City or elsewhere.
