Sedona Pines Resort - Page 1

I actually lived in a crummy trailer park when I was in college because it was all I could afford at the time, and never expected to stay in one again, so what a surprize Sedona Pines for my wife and I! The online reviews are obviously written by the staff! This so called "resort" claimed to have individual "cottages" on their own web site. However, Sedona Pines is nothing more than a trailer park with extremely small, cramped, cheap trailers (and I don't mean a live in trailer either- more like a compact, pull it with your Honda Civic trailer) with stucco on the outside. The whole cottage was about twice the size of our master bath at home, and we don't have an excessively large house-about 2000 sq ft. The whole "resort" has a trailer park feel to it as well. We had to leave the windows open of our "cottage" with the AC on full blast in 100 degree weather in late June because of the intense, irritating smell of the manufactured materials that are used to fabricate the trailers. It (adhesives and paraformaldehyde?) caused a burning sensation in our eyes. The "tile" in the bathroom is actually a man made material with a fiber board (or similar) backing. The furnishing are very tacky and apparently of cheap quality. I have stayed in budget hotels all over the US and the world over the years(including Mexico, Korea, and several parts of Europe) and this was the first time in 30 years that I was not asked how my stay was at check out. Of course they didn't ask because they already knew the answer. $150 is usually not a lot to pay for Sedona AZ, but in this case $50 would have been way too much. Sedona Pines again? No thanks.
