I really liked how convenient it was to the beach. The staff was very nice and helpful. My main complaint was the bed - it was WAYYYYY too hard. And obviously time has created a small odor problem. Too much mildew by the headboard.

Do not think $20 cheaper is worth the savings with this hotel. It is awful! The rooms are musty and the place is crawling with surfers (and not the good kind). Do yourself a favor and stay away from this...

pros: great location, reasonable prices, usually quietThis is a basic hotel - not fancy, but if you're like us, we just want a clean place to sleep, take a shower and get ready for the day - we're not staying in the room - we're out and about all...
I was totally scared taking my wife here based on some of the reviews. The room was clean, no holes in the walls, no bugs, (room 10), and the staff was cordial. There was no refrigerater (as advertised) but the bed was totally comfy and the AC...

We have had quite mixed experiences from this location, and we tried it 2005, 2006 and 2007. The location itself is great, close to Mission and Garnet, walking distance to the Beach and Konos for an awesome sea view breakfast. The price with $69 off-season is probably one of the cheapest on the block. However the rooms are in pretty bad condition and the management is used to fending off complaints and get away with as little uplifting as possible. If all you need is place to sleep and you don't care about peeling paint, never-drying bathroom (window nailed shut) and are tight on money, then this is the place to go.
So, the area is crazy noisey, since the managment office closes at 11pm, the place just turns into a frat house. I woke up in the middle of the night to find a bug on my pillow and since leaving have developed a rash on my arms and upper back. ...

I have been staying at the Seacoast for years. For the money, there is none better. A block from the beach, friendly staff. The rooms have not been updated for awhile, but the hosekeeping staff does a great job keeping it clean. Sure there are nicer rooms in the area, but you wil spend 5 times the money. Seacoast palms is the best.

We arrived at this hotel and booked a room on the spot for $70. We were given room 27A and assumed that it was a normal room.
As we made our way to our room, we realized that all of the other rooms were just simple numbers and had no letter after them. When we unlocked the door to our room, we were horrified. It was an old storage room that had been converted into a hotel room. There was no overhead light, only two small bedside lamps. The TV was about 10" and the TV stand was made out of the bottom of an old chair. The paint was peeling off of the ceilings and we constantly had problems with the toilet. When it clogged, we told the office worker, he told us to come down to the office and he gave us a plunger to plunge it ourselves.
Only 1 of the 8 power outlets in our hotel worked and it was one in a dark corner of our room. We were not able to plug in anything in the bathroom due to the outlets not working. After showering, I noticed that there was no hair dryer in the room. When I called the front desk to ask about a hair dryer, I was told by the manager to come down and get one from the office. When I picked it up, he told me that I had to bring it right back because it was his only one. The shower did not drain when we used it. The maid did make our bed, but left no fresh soap or shampoo and did not change our toilet paper roll (we ran out). There was no refrigerator in our room.
When I called the office to ask about an ice maker on location, I was told to come to the office and that I would be given a bucket of ice. When I went down there, I was given a tiny bucket of ice and, when I asked for more, was told that each room can only get one bucket of ice per day of stay. When we asked to switch rooms, we were told that all of them were full (which wasn't true, there were three empty rooms across the hall from us).
All in all, this hotel ruined my trip. I was on what was supposed to be a romantic trip with my boyfriend, but the stress of this hotel room ruined our time. Take my word for it, never stay here! We had stayed in some rotten hotels in our time, but this was the worst!
The manager is rude and the staff is not helpful at all.
