Seacoast Inn Motel - Page 1

This hotel is certainly old and not fancy, but the price is good, and our suite was very large...we were traveling with children, so we could put them to bed in the bedroom and still watch tv in the living area with the kitchen between us. The beds are new and comfortable, with the exception of our pull out bed which did not work, but they brought us a rollaway bed right away to use instead. The sheets and towels were clean, no bugs in our room. The view of the ocean was very nice. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Overall, our room served us well, and was a good value for our money. It is quite close to Seaworld and the Zoo...a 15 or 20min, drive. The only challenge we had was using the kitchen...there was very few dishes and cooking utensils, and the stove was hard to use because it was a gas one and the knobs were broken off. If you are planning to use the kitchen, it would be wise to bring your own paper plates, cups, etc. The fridge worked fine, and was full size which was nice. Due to the price, I would stay there again.

For a hotel on the beach with a rate under $200 per night, this place is great! If you want a 5-star hotel or a Holiday Inn Express-type of experience, go pay the price in Coronado or La Jolla for the beach or stay further inland. If you set your expectations correctly, you will have a great time at this quaint Inn on the beach, it’s nothing fancy, but the view is extraordinary for the price.

It's old, has no A/C, but you don't need it. It's right on the beach and they have good surfing.

I thought this hotel was nice, too bad it will be renovated soon.
