The Monarch Butterfly Grove in Pismo Beach feature thousands of butterfly species. The Heart Castle is less than one hour north along the coast. Mediterranean seafood and meat dishes are available at the hotel restaurant, which features a wide-angle ocean view. The hotel serves a daily continental breakfast on weekdays and brunch is available on weekends. Drinks and snacks are available at the bar/lounge, which features live jazz on Wednesday evenings. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and fitness equipment. All 50 guestrooms at this three-story hotel feature gas fireplaces, feather beds, ceiling fans and CD players. Highway 1 leads you to the town of Pismo Beach. Sea Venture is a pyramid in the California sands. Just like the pyramids of Cairo one eventually finds their way to the beckoning legend in the sands. On the edge of town you will find Sea Venture directly on the beach, only steps away from the pier. Ocean or mountain views come with each room, as well as marble wet bars, gas fireplaces, cozy soft feather beds, and original watercolors. Did I mention breakfast is served in the room, arriving with fresh fruit and baked goods in a wicker basket at your door. Now that is what I call breakfast in bed! Shuttered glass doors open to a balcony, where most rooms have spas. You could listen to the ocean waves hitting the shore, watch the stars, and you may even catch a glimpse of bats flying overhead. A separate secluded three bedroom beach house is perfect for a romantic escape, intimate wedding, or family vacation, or corporate retreat. The restaurant on the third floor is an ideal place to watch the sun set, serving classic seafood and steak. On site massage is also available. Near to the Hearst Castle, Wine Country, tennis, golf and horseback riding are day adventures that await you. Stay and soak in the sun or take the hotel's beach cruisers and pedal surreys to see the town.

Beautiful room with a fireplace, private jacuzzi on the balcony. They often give specials and packages. The hotel is on the beach. It has a spa and restaurant in the hotel. Sea Venture's website.

Sea Venture seems to be one of the best (if not the best) hotels in Pismo Beach. Although the room rate was expensive, we were able to get an upgrade to the best room (full ocean view with hot tub on balcony, plus fireplace). A nicely sized...
