Sea Shell Inn Motel Motel - Page 1

We stayed at the shell for 1night thank god becouse it was terrible. The room was musty the bathroom light did not work,very noisey out side the room. There was a crack in the window the front door could be open with 1 punch, there was only 2 towels we had 3 people. No shampoo the pool was warm,and we only had 1 bed so we had to bye a blow up matress. The phone did not work the restroom stunk very bad the walls where dirty it was very hot. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone!!!!!!

Maybe I am a bit of a princess. But really, this place was just awful. The walls were an unpleasant green - and they used the same paint on the picture frames, door trim, and apparently attempted to paint half of the mirror. The furniture was a shambles, the floor dirty, the bathroom ... well, let's just say, not the most sanitary I've ever seen. The kitchenette was in a state of disrepair. I wouldn't let my children sit on the bedspreads. And to top it off, the walls were so thin, we were kept awake by the neighbors the entire night. Sure it's right on the beach, but so is the Radisson. My husband chose this place for the location. Suffice it to say I'll be choosing our next beach-side hotel - the kids and I found it to be a miserable place.

I stayed here with my 11 year old son. The hotel has a clean pool and is close to the beach. The room on the other hand was nasty. Our feet turned black from walking on the carpet. The kitchenette was patched together. There was hair and sand in the tub. We also found lots of interesting things in the dresser drawers. Includeing a massive pair of stretch pants and a bag of make up. Our beds were not made up when we stayed a second day. We actully had to ask to get more towels as well. I would not reccomend staying here to anyone.

This is a worn hotel in need of some maintenance.

Most of the furniture is broken. Our beds had sheets of plywood between the box springs and mattresses and under the box springs. There was only one towel per person. No coffee, and no ice. The kitchenette had no dishes, glasses, utensils, nothing! The coffeemaker had the previous guest's coffee grounds still in it.

The electrical wall socket was uncovered. The lamp and recliner were broken. Even the bathroom's hideaway door was broken and an unbelievable handle made of bare plywood pieces with duct tape had been added. The owners need to put some money into properly repairing the problems instead of covering them with a thick coat of paint.

The only plus of this place is its location.
