44 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Arrived on a wednesday afternoon, left on thursday morning!! and rebooked another hotel called the Breakers! more money but worth every penny! The south side area is very low class and alot of unwanted people walking around scoping out the hotel rooms and cars! This hotel will rent a room to anyone off the streets and I truly mean "off the streets"!

Mediocre
Hotel was probably a 5 -star when it opened 40 years ago. Now it is old with slow elevators and rude help. Rooms were clean and the view was great. Pools needed cleaned but that is from rude guests.

I stayed in Myrtle Beach at the Sea Crest for one day on business. It
was during bike week, which was interesting, but not bad at all. The lobby and check in area was new, and very nice, I didn't get an oceanfront room because I wasn't there on vacation. I wish I would have, they looked like a great view, and not a bad price at all. Nice pools, and right on the water for the price, you can't beat it. The interior rooms are older, and could be updated, but you get what you pay for. If you are going to have fun, and not worrry about all the high class, pick this place!

Despite the other comments concerning roaches and such, I found the hotel to be just what I expected--clean, unassuming, and just what I paid for. The rooms were old, but they had just cleaned the carpet when we came, and the front desk staff were...

Mediocre
Summary: Long waits to check in or get service, outside corridor rooms with poor locks, heat unit that blew filthy air, only to let the heat escape through the door with a crack under it, and hard beds with limp pillows...The icing on the...
