Excellent
This hotel was outstanding! Although this is rated as only 2 stars on some sites, this hotel should have at least a 3-star rating. It is located in a great neighborhood, it offers FREE parking, the rooms are very spacious and equipped with a flat...
Located at the top of the Glover Park neighborhood in Washington, the Savoy Suites is steps away from great budget restaurants (Rocklands is the best BBQ in DC in my book, Kavanaugh's Pizza Pub, etc.). Also nearby is a Whole Foods and a local park. A bus stop in front of the hotel takes visitors quickly down to Georgetown on the 30 line or up Wisconsin about 10 minutes to the Red Line Metro Stop. The neighborhood has a great after work life, and is busy into the night. My parents stay here whenever visiting and have always had a good time, I highly recommend.
28 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for business
May 2008: I stayed at the Savoy Suites Hotel for a little over a week on business. I found the hotel to be charming and the service friendly. The hotel offers all guests free garage parking and free wireless internet. It is in a nice neighborhood and walking distance to Georgetown, The National Cathedral and the US Navel Observatory. The views from my guest room were amazing! They have these great big windows and you can see the Washington Monument and the US Capitol from your room! The food in the restaurant was great! Very tasty. The only drawback is that they don't have 24 hour room service. Oh! They also give you free access to the Washington Sports Club. This was a nice touch than those small gyms you find in typical hotels. Overall it was a great stay and very nicely priced. I would return in a heartbeat!
I am very likely
to return to the Savoy Suites Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Mediocre
After showing up to our hotel, selected due to it's ratings and proximity to my next day's activities, I learned that I was being moved to a different hotel several miles away since other travelers needed the room. directions were provided to the...
This is a horrible hotel. Where to start . . . . these are not suites, although the manager told me that was a "matter of opinion". When I asked to be moved to a suite, I was told that they didn't have suites in this "all-suite" hotel. My room had no coffeemaker (provided when I asked, but "we don't give you coffee. There are vending machines, or you can get it from room service". Also, no TV channel guide (it's on the TV), no room service menu, no glasses.
The bar drink I brought to me room had a dead bug in it.
Most importantly I was charged for the room on six separate occasions, some of them overlapping, and when I contacted my bank and they said they didn't reverse charges, the management told me to "get a new bank".
I have gotten no response to my mail to the general manager of The Savoy Suites and the Carlyle Suites.
If you want to hassle every single aspect of your stay, then this is the place for you. I have never stayed in a worse hotel in the United States.
I am not likely
to return to the Savoy Suites Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.
