30 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I was here 4 nights in June for a work conference - this was my first trip to Savannah. The hotel was great - I booked a king room, which was very spacious, including a desk/work area, comfortable easy chair, and armoir with large tv, in-room coffee, ice bucket and glasses. The bathroom was quite large as well.
I arrived at the hotel early in the day, around 10 am, expecting to store my luggage until check-in time. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they had a room already cleaned and available for me to check into. Hotel is very conveniently located to River Street and downtown - only a short walk from the nightlife of River Street or the historic squares of Savannah. The hotel is also located next to a water taxi launch, if you need to cross the river to the convention center.
The bed was VERY comfortable, toiletries in bathroom were Bath & Body Works (and smell heavenly), everything was in full working order. The only thing that would have made my stay better was if I could have stayed longer. I am looking forward to the next business conference in Savannah - I will definitely return to the Marriott Riverfront!

The hotel staff was friendly. But that was about it. The room was dark, and damp feeling. Our cloths felt damp. The glass sliding door to river front we could hardly open . No safe in the room. You have to go to the front desk and stand in line to put things in safety box. And then again to retrieve it. The ice machines were not working on any floors but the eighth. Then to beat it all our room was assigned to someone else. Who they gave a key to and walked in on my husband and I . We had a very disappointing experience in savanna. We left town a day earlier than planned.

I stayed here a total of 4 nights while attending a conference for work and did not have a good experience.
At least the staff was helpful and very polite because the actual rooms were disappointing. The first night I stayed in an extremely damp room and was then moved to a less damp room that smelled of terrible B.O. I decided not to complain again but it ruined my trip to Savannah. I would not return to this hotel.

Excellent
Hotel was great! Location was perfect....at end of Riverfront but without all the noise. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the river. Room was larger than most we've stayed in. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

My husband and I stayed at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront on our wedding night. We had a beautiful room with a bed so comfortable it was like sleeping on cloud! The staff is courteous and kind, and the hotel is close to everything. It's a great hotel. I highly recommend it!
