Sanibel Moorings Resort has provided luxurious, world-class accommodations in tropical surroundings on the east end of Sanibel Islands for more than 30 years. 122 individually-owned and decorated one, two and three-bedroom condominium suites that are just a few steps away from the glistening Gulf of Mexico and its splashing surf and shell-speckled sands or the serene boat docks on the back bay. Although it is a safe bet you will want to explore the islands and everything they have to offer, there is plenty to do at Sanibel Moorings. Take a guided tour of the tropical flora, including the budding hibiscus collection, and watch the monarchs and queens flutter by in the butterfly garden. Sit on a bench by the bay cedar tree, take in the flowers and listen to the soothing waters in a nearby fountain. Join the weekly shelling lecture before hitting the beach to collect conches and coquinas. Grab some exercise with a game of tennis or take a dip in one of our swimming pools. Rent a bicycle and hop on the scenic Sanibel bike paths. Fire up the grill, cook up some fresh fish or burgers, and enjoy an outdoor picnic, then lounge in your suite and watch a DVD. If you have a gulf-front suite, pour a cup of coffee, sit on the porch, and listen to the whispers of the waves on the beach or start your evening by watching the pelicans scoop up the unsuspecting fish. For those on the dock side of Sanibel Moorings, you will notice the newly refurbished docks where you can tie up your boat for free and have easy access to the Caloosahatchee River and Gulf of Mexico. You are welcome to fish on the beach or off the Sanibel Moorings docks. Tarpon, snook and sea trout are just some of the popular catches during season. In fact, the Sanibel-Captiva area is known as one of the top tarpon fishing locations in the world. Please note that boat docks are subject to a USD 20.00/day fee for dockage, and all docks have water and electric included. Minimum age required at check-in is 24.

We had a great time at Sanibel Moorings. The condo where we stayed was big, extremely clean, and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and the buildings and grounds are very well maintained. The only complaint is that the pool is closed and padlocked at 9:00 every night - it would have been nice to be able to swim a little longer.
We would highly recommend staying at Sanibel Moorings. We plan to try to get back there every year!

We had a great time here with our daughter. I chose this condo because pictures of the rooms looked nicer than other similarly priced condos. The actual condo was much nicer than I expected. The "master" bedroom even had its own bathroom. The kitchen worked well and we ate breakfast every morning out on the screen deck. Everything was very new and clean. They have a nice beach which is very easy to get to.
There were some umbrellas in the condo, but they were in bad condition. We rented from a nearby place which worked out well.
