The hotel was very run down - nothing like the pictures. The cleaning staff were unprofessional and not at all dependable. The times they cleaned our room varied from 9 am to 4 pm, so we never knew when our room would be cleaned. One day they left us four washcloths, one bath towel and no handtowels. They did not use fitted sheets for the mattresses, so by morning, your bed was only half covered. Ice machines were not located on every floor, and the elevators took forever. We were put on a smoking floor, when non-smoking had been requested, which was only really irritating when our neighbors smoked on their balcony when we were out or when the cleaning crew (YES) smoked in the hall while we were waiting on elevators. There wasn't enough parking in the main deck, so most times we were stuck across the street from the hotel. Ocean Annie's was nice, though. They had live bands from lunchtime through late night. That was about the only thing I enjoyed about the hotel. It was located in a good area, close to Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach attractions.

I rented a room at a timeshare. The hotel had a very pleasant staff and excellent facilities.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: I knew someone that would be there. Everyone knew and he let them know I was coming. They treated me like I lived there.

I have been staying at this hotel for the last twenty years. The last few years it is starting to decline in almost all areas. That is sadly. This year we are going with multi families as we always have every year but we are staying at a different hotel for the first time!

I was very impressed with Sands Ocean Club. The employees were wonderful. The fall is the very best time at Myrtle Beach. The hotel was great

and the places to eat were wonderful, not crowded like in the summer time.

The Sands Ocean Club has a new conference room that is high tech and

great for meeting. Thanks for a wonderful golf holiday with my friends.

We loved it and will go back again!. The Sands beat all of our expectations. For the price we got I was worried that it wouldn't be as nice as what we're used to staying in but it was. Everything was perfect - the atmosphere created by the live music at the on site oceanfront beach bar Ocean Annies was just wonderful - nice music all through the afternoon and evening. Our privately owned room was clean and well decorated. The location of the resort was central to everything and my wife especially loved the on site spa. The two on site restaurants we both casual and afforable. The food was great. We met lots of very nice people and can't wait to go back again!
