The service was fine, but the air conditioner didn't work properly, and we had a couple of lights that had burned out. We didn't expect much, though, as it is a seaside beach hotel with a lot of use. It was pretty much as we expected.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The desk clerk was friendly and knowledgeable. When we needed information about the town, etc., she gave us good guidance, which was appreciated. We had spoken with her on the phone before going there, and everyone we talked to was courteous, friendly, and most helpful.

This is a fair resort hotel on Galveston Island. It is not fancy, but about what is to be expected at a seaside resort that has been around for awhile. The people were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but the air conditioner was in bad shape. Overall, our stay was pleasant enough. The rates were okay. I would go back if needed while I am in the area.
