Welcome to the Sand Dollar Inn. Russ and Linda West developed and introduced the Sand Dollar Inn to Westerly, Rhode Island visitors in July of 1994. This was a proud occasion for them to fulfill part of a dream. Their dream to share the beauty of South County, Rhode Island, and introduce their renovated property/accommodations to visitors, became a reality. 32 year old with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
We got a reservation for a room for a night from a local service called resort2me (which is a free service to find hotels in monterey) and also got a 15% discount on it. Great value hotel, very clean, they even allowed us to checkin early (we reached at 1230 and didnt realise that we were too early). The room is decent sized one with a balcony and a nice warm fireplace. The internet connection was pretty good. The only problem we found was the room was a little difficult to reach - too many winding steps and there was water in one place which made the stairs quite slippery. But over all great experience, value for money, close to downtown Monterey (lot of eating places around). close to fishermans wharf. Not the best of places if you want to stay right on the water but around 5-6 blocks from the Bay. Ample parking place in the hotel parking, heated pool.
