Welcome to the Sand Dollar Inn. Russ and Linda West developed and introduced the Sand Dollar Inn to Westerly, Rhode Island visitors in July of 1994. This was a proud occasion for them to fulfill part of a dream. Their dream to share the beauty of South County, Rhode Island, and introduce their renovated property/accommodations to visitors, became a reality. We welcome you to visit with us during any of the seasons. Though each season has something different to offer you, the uniqueness of the unspoiled seaside community of Westerly remains the same. The calm, natural beauty of the beaches and surrounding towns, shopping in an unrushed quiet atmosphere and so many other things one can only savor, can be discovered for oneself while visiting South County. Here at the Sand Dollar we hope to be an integral part of your visit. The unceasing efforts to make our guests feel at home will continue the dream.

The room was nice and quiet general, but the sound of water flowing through the pipes in the walls every time someone above flushed was annoying. They also need to instruct the cleaning staff to not clean the rooms above those marked with do not disturb. Trying to sleep in was ruined by the noise above as they cleaned the room early in the morning. Check in was very late and we had to wait even later in the afternoon due to the lack of cleaning staff. There was no offer of any kind made to compensate for this, not even an extended check out. This was not professional in my opinion. They offered high speed wireless internet access but it was not high speed and, for the most part, it did not work at all. It failed quickly after only a few minutes. The room was very clean and a great deal for the money. The location is not bad for walking to town. We liked the fireplace and the beds. The desk manager was very friendly and quite knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding areas.
The hotel was very comfortable and within easy walking distance of downtown. I felt no hassle or rush.
I am very likely
to return to the Sand Dollar Inn.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We would definitely stay here again

My husband & I stayed at the Sand Dollar Inn for a week and were very happy with our room. This was a great value for the money and very convenient to everything. Our king deluxe room included a balcony, fireplace, small refrigerator, wet bar area, ...
The price was good and the location too. It was only a short drive to downtown and the proximity to the Denny's and shopping mall was nice. The contiental breakfast is nothing special, but it's got plenty of bakery goodies and others. The pool is...

This hotel's location is about 2 blocks from Cannery Row, but don't be fooled by ads of 'ocean view rooms'. The staff is knowledgeable about the area and various area events.
pros: room quality, service, locationI really liked it here. The rooms were very nice and there's a few great restaurants near by. The negative things were that there wasn't AC available in the room just a heater and gas fireplace. That didn't make...
