The hotel was constructed in neo-classical style in 1870s, and opened in 1904 under the name of 'Hotel Molaro'. In a short while it became frequented by famous artists, writers and noble families. The elegant lounges furnished in the style of Louis XVI, provide a welcoming atmosphere that takes one back to the time when the queen of Sweden and the Kaiser and other friends of the doctor Axel Munthe frequently visited the hotel Dining: From the spacious restaurant, there are wonderful panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples.
