Sam's Town takes pride in its accommodations and because of this pride, no detail is left untouched. The 514 rooms and suites in our 23-story hotel tower each have upgraded amenities. Two-room Magnolia suites exist on each guest floor. The 23rd floor houses a number of multi-room suites, ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 square feet. Experience the charm of an authentic Southern riverboat while playing your favorite casino games. The "Shreve Star" was created to look like a 19th century paddle wheeler, incorporating bright colors and the charm of the South. The boat was built in Morgan City, Louisiana, and was moved to Shreveport and opened in February 1995. The "Shreve Star" consists of three uniquely styled casinos, each housed on a different level. With three choices available, all players have the option to discover which casino best fits their desires.

Horrible
We were driving into Shreveport in the evening looking for a good price at a casino hotel. We called Sam's Town and asked for a price for 2 non-smoking rooms. We were quoted $70 each. Got to Sam's Town, parked, unloaded our suitcases and went to...
We called and booked a smoking suite with a pull-out couch and roll-away bed. The person on the phone at the hotel said that was no problem. However, when we checked in, the clerk said we could not have a roll-away in there due to fire regulations....

The good is that this is a nice hotel. So why the bad review?
(May 22nd, 2008) Upon my arrival I could not get into valet parking. I am not above walking a little bit. I decided to park in the self park garage owned by the hotel.
(May 23rd, 2008) The next morning when I got to my car, a 300 with 6100 miles at the time, the passenger side mirror was broken and the door crushed. That is not the insult!
When I reported it to hotel security I did not get an "I am sorry," nor a "We will take care of it," and not even a "drop dead it is not my problem." The security guard just stood there! The idiot did not even take my name or write down my license plate number. He proudly displayed his not giving a crap.
Not only will I never stay at this hotel again, I will do my best to let everyone I know not to stay at any of the Sam's hotels across the country.

If you are looking for a casino, steer clear of Sams Town Shreveport!! Hotel was nice, but where's the casino? Typical BOYD formula, lots of money making slots for them, no casino for you, just a tiny slot parlor. If you want a real casino, steer...

Have stayed at Sam's several times, as well as several other casinos in Shreveport/Bossier City. For a regular hotel room, Sam's is the best in terms of size of room, size of bathroom, and amenities. Rooms have tv in top of large cabinet that also ...

These are some of the best rooms in all of the casinos in which we have stayed. Large, clean, with a table and two easy chairs, fridge - don't like the one cup coffeemaker and we are both big coffee drinkers - was not impressed with the casino -...

Yesterday was my birthday and we planned to spend 2 nights at Sams Town Hotel. For being 14 years old, the hotel is still in good shape and our room was clean and nice and had a great view.
