32 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
Upon check-in, I asked for a King Size bed. The gentleman working the front desk informed me that no King-size bed was available, but he was willing to upgrade me.
Considering I was on long-term stay, I unpacked and the following morning, despite having arrived late, the front desk woke me up in the morning to inform me that they were going to move me out of my upgraded room into one with regular King-size bed in another building considering one is now available.
The upgraded room was actually a suite. It was very dirty around the vents, the television picture quality was something you would get from a small antenna, not cable. The internet is roughly of dial-up speed, not high-speed as they advertise. While the bed was comfortable, the bedding was old and worn.
The new room needs a paint job, drapes are old, with old bedding as well.
All in all, this is an old property that needs some serious upgrades. Furthermore, any property that moves a customer over $20 difference in rate when they initially couldn't honor the guest request should be considered low-rent and not worthy of anyone expecting any sort of quality guest care.
My suggestion to anyone considering visiting Boise and expecting any sort of quality customer service is to stick to brand name properties. One can easily find a brand name hotel for the same price, and better customer service.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were cleaned promptly. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Boise, in walking distance to the convention center and lots of dining options. The continental breakfast was not very good and there needed to be more parking spaces. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay for the price.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Safari Inn Downtown Boise.
I might recommend it to friends.

They were most cordial and they gave me a reduced rate as I was going to the hospital for some minor surgery. The hotel has a very good location, close to downtown area. You can walk to many shops. I highly recommend this hotel.

I left a phone charger in the outlet in my room. I called the hotel from the airport to report it. The Safari management states that the charger wasn't in the outlet. She also stated that she believes the person in housekeeping that there was no charger there. So now I'm out one cell phone charger.

Best Western Safari Motor Inn has the best value among chains of the same class. The hotel is clean and the staff is always friendly. Morning coffee and treats are always well-prepared.
