Sadies Hotel - Page 1

Sadies by the Sea is a recently renovated property located near Fagatogo in Pago harbour. The rooms are simple, yet clean. Each room has a mini refrigerator and a coffee maker. The beds are nice, and the air conditioning is rock solid. The television is a flat screen and the rooms have a shower/ bath combo. I understand they are installing wireless internet in the rooms. There is a complimentary computer in the lobby.

The hotel has a small man-made beach directly outside the rooms. Each room faces the harbor, although some rooms of obstructed views. Ask for a room on the far side of the hotel complex. The farther away you are from the front desk, the better your view. You can use the hotel's kayaks to paddle out into the calm harbor. The bat-shaped pool is decent and a great place to cool off. The fiafia night buffet on Saturday is good. The fiafia production was certainly a nice show.

There is a small restaurant (the owners also own two other restaurants on the island: Rubbles and Sadies.) that cooks some breakfast/lunch/dinner items. All seating is outside under covered tents. There are several tables with ocean views. Don't expect every item on the menu to be available all the time. There is also a beachside bar that is stocked with various beverages.

If you're a tourist looking for a beachside resort in American Samoa, this hotel is as good as it gets.
