In 1919 two ambitious sisters moved from the mid-west to Lake Arrowhead to build their dream castle. This resulted in the Raven, a 28 room 3 story English tavern that played host to the southlands' elite for 34 years. Over the past 65 years many famous people have frequented this historic inn. Howard Hughes, Charles Lindburgh and May West were visitors along with John Wayne and other exciting Hollywood entertainers, thus many guest rooms are reminiscent of these past visitors. Our Inn, located in Lake Arrowhead is at the entrance to the Village and the Lake in the San Bernardino mountains, so park your car and walk to all the activities at the lake and village. We have 34 rooms/cottages and a variety of suites with gas burning stone fireplaces and double jacuzzi tubs. Our Main Inn is a collection of mountain and victorian architecture, featuring a romantic Critics Choice and Locals Favorite restaurant. We are a pet friendly property with an acre of forest and park like setting.

59 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Over the last 5 years my family and myself stayed at the saddleback inn. Everyone was nice, the rooms were cosy, great spa tub and fireplace. Easy to walk to village only a min away. Coffee always in lobby. The prices are great. Love to play on my little front porch of upscale cabin with kids or when alone read a book and snack. Ask for a cottage in quiet location. A few are near parking but that never bothered me. When i was there it was usually in between all the things to do in lake arrowhead. At night after a spa tub bath with fireplace on i crashed and fell asleep. Morning found me in lobby for danish and coffee then out for more adventures. They have brought more beds for kids, more pillows and blankets. There was an occasion my grandkids had a cracker fight in the living room. We left a little bit bigger tip but we were welcomed again when we visited.
