While going home to announce our engagement, we thought we were staying at a lovely, upscale hotel based on another website's reviews. The air conditioning was broken, the towels were old, grey and ratty, and the carpet was absolutely revolting. The furniture covered in stains. Its just not what you want to see in any hotel room. The staff said they were booked and could not move us to another room.
The decor was like being in a Benihana Japanese restaurant as the other website warned. However, the mattress, pillows and sheets were as wonderful as the other website claimed they would be and the lobby was spectacularly glamorous with bountiful fresh floral arrangements every other day. The bellhops were exceedingly helpful and gracious. If we didn't have to go in the room to get to the bed it would have been a perfect stay.
