Located in the center of Manhatten, this hotel has a beautiful lobby and makes a great first impression. It's just steps from Fifth Avenue shopping, the Broadway Theater District and Times Square, and New York's nightlife. The rooms and suites are spacious and comfortable, with very luxurious bathrooms. The theme of the hotel is transoceanic travel but some may find the corridors and atmosphere a little dark - there's not a huge amount of natural light there. The hotel restaurant '44,' serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is quite a chic place to enjoy a meal. There's also a nice bar, and in the lobby is a 20-foot long marble Library Table, which is apparently quite a hangout area for New York's literary set. There's a 24 hour gym and there are personal trainers available on request. The staff are welcoming and friendly.

I love this hotel! My sister and I had booked a room at Hudson Hotel, and when we arrived at 2:30am they told us they did not have a room for us even though we had prepaid. They sent us over to Royalton, and they were really picked up the slack! They let us stay all 4 nights of our vacation, and the staff was extremely attentive. The hospitality manager sent us up an apology letter as well as some treats to say thank you for staying with them. What started of terribly ended up wonderfully thanks to the attention of Royalton's wonderful staff. For all my future trips to New York, Royalton will be my hotel of choice!
I made a reservation in December.

Horrible
I made a reservation in December. Becasue of a change in plans I had to cancel the reservation about 10 days before my arrival date. no problem cancelling the reservation except the hotel rebooked the room in my name for some reason and didn't alert ...

Excellent
Always at home here and the new decor suits Winter in the city, although it has taken a while to get used to. The best beds and pillows combined with the best showers. Remains a strong favorite with great service. Highly recommend.

Good
What's not to love about The Royalton?! Smack dab in the middle of Midtown; down the street from Bryant Park; a quick walk to 5th Avenue; you're in the center of everything. Great bar and lounge area, felt completely comfortable just hanging out...
