Not the classiest place in town, but it is cheap compared to most other places. On the bright side I was propositioned by a hooker in the parking lot. The bad part was it was only 9:00 AM. That just seemed a little early for that kind of thing. Big rooms are a good value if you don't mind roughing it a little.

My teenager & I are local and knew rates were high due to summer travel. Paid 125.00 knowing in winter rates were probably 40-60.00. My son did not sleep in his room he felt it was "scary" and I too was a little leary of falling asleep. All night and early morning lots of locals cussing and carrying on. Room had a nice balcony. Definately reccomend top floor (noise level) Rooms also had bedrooms seperated. Not enough towels. Full kitchen. I would say we would not return.

We only stayed here as, unfortunately, our travel agent arranged it, we arrived late and didn't know where else to go!
The beds were lumpy. sheets gray, and we had to ask for more towels even though the rooms had been reserved for 4 people - only towels for ONE!
The "desk clerk" was ALSO the person who drove the van in the morning...she was busy. We would have been late to catch another plane if we had not called a taxi!
$150 for this pig sty is a travesty! Am trying to notify the State of Alaska about this junk yard!

Although we arrived at midnight, the shuttle van came immediately upon us calling. It is an older hotel, but clean and perfect for people who are there to fish or hunt. We just stayed one night due to our late arrival. Although there was no restaurant on site or near, they took us to a great restaurant and they came to pick us up when we were done and we called them.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Royal Suite Lodge.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Horrible
i stayed in this hotel with my 3 children... it was old dirty and smelled strongly of urine. i will not ever stay there again and do not recomend it to anyone . maybe single people to party is about it was nothing like showed on the internet very...

Horrible
This place is a low grade motel, it smelled dirty, the nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, we did not stay and they are suppose to refund my money back to me. I would not recommend this place for my DOG.

Good spacious room.Sleepy manager started a fire overcooking popcorn and started a fire alarm at 2 AM.“Not a good location. Neighborhood gangs in downtown Anchorage make you feel unsafe. Nearby construction activity is disturbing...
