Remodeled rooms in the tower are excellent. Stay above the 6th floor and ask for the north side if possible for great ocean views. Pool isn't as nice as the Hyatt or Sheraton but who cares. The hotel is as close to the water as you can get. Everyone treated us very, very well. I will commend Morgan and Steve for arranging the perfect 9th floor room. The Royal Lahaina is a very good value for Maui and the Kaanapali area. We walked to Whaler's Village daily to catch the $1 shuttle to Lahaina and Napilii/Kapalua. It's a no brainier. I almost hate to share the secret but the staff earned the kudos.
