The location is great, explaining why returned after our last stay three years ago; what a difference-first room had bad carpet, sagging ceiling and mold all over the bathroom-clerks used that as an opportunity to try to "up sell" us to a renovated, more expensive room. The final room we accepted had newer carpet, and the mold had been spray painted over. Although, on a no-smoking floor, we had to face marijuana smoke several mornings and nights on our ocean front deck. There were large parties on at least two nights of our seven nights that caused us to close our deck off to sleep the last night. On check-out, we found the staff had added $10 to a $4 tip on a continental breakfast (served ourselves). Front desk tried to convince us we meant a 60% tip. Parking is $10/night, but we found that the gates are left open for anybody, with no staff present in the late evening, with the lot filling quickly for nearby bars and clubs. Staff was pleasant, but this place needs a major change in management.
