My mother and I stayed at this motel back in 2003, and the photos they had online were nothing close to what this was like. A prostitute helped my mother and me carry our luggage down the dark alley to get to our room in the back parking lot area where a drug deal was taking place. And the room, oh my God! It had blood stains, cigarette burns every four inches on the rug; obvious protein stains on the bed, headboard, and chair.

Outside our window, we could hear a deal between a prostitute and a "john" taking place. I didn't want to put my luggage on the floor. The guy at the front desk was less than thrilled to have to quit watching television and help my mother and I with our late night reservation check-in.
