It was just a hotel, I had no problems, I enjoyed the stay!

I overall enjoyed my stay at the Howard Johnson hotel. The room was clean and spacious and well lit. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was great.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: The hotel was a lot better than I imagined it would be the way it was constructed.

I recently booked a reservation at Howard Johnson's I35 hotel thru Orbitz. I based my decision on the fact that the hotel had a restaurant/bar, room service, and the fitness room that was advertised, as well as a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5.

The rooms were clean, there was no restaurant/bar, room service, or fitness room. There was a continental breakfast with pastries, bagels, cream cheese, cereal, and fruit so badly bruised it couldn't be eaten (I tried three apples and gave up). The bathrooms were freshly painted a cherry mango, but the effect was ruined by the paint splatter all over the nice ceramic tiled floors. The towels were clean, but thin, hard, and well worn. I contacted Orbitz customer service who told me they could not be responsible for the content of the listing. My son was also on the trip, and he rented an identical room for much less than I paid on the spot. Again, there was no response from Orbitz.

I wasn't looking for any of the emotional perks, just a place to stay.
