this hotel is not worth the visit in to the lobby to see the "Gift Shop", which consists of a 3 ft display case. Don't be fooled by the cute little gas station 60's style out front, or the old cars. It is overpriced, the advertised restaurant was closed at 5 PM on a Sunday, our room had feces on the toilet when we arrived, and there were carpet tacks sticking out of the frayed carpet at the entrance to the bathroom, I now have two holes in my heel from them. It was a horrible experience and one I would not want anyone else to have to endure. Stay Away! there are plenty of more reasonably priced hotels in the Springfield area and ones that are much cleaner and nicer.

Room did not feel clean, and not good heater in the room, had to sleep with my jacket on.

Bad experience here. Will never stay again, dirty carpet, scratched up counter, slow service, cold food, complained and received a hateful attitude. Overpriced for quality. Worst hotel experience.

Enjoyed many unusual items from years past. Nice clean rooms. Good food in restaurant. Staff friendly & helpful.

It is a nice, nostalgic hotel. You can eat a breakfast buffet for a good price for two adults and two children. The wait staff is exceptional! This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. I will stay there again if I am visiting in Springfield, Illinois!

This hotel made me feel pampered: It took the guests back in time when vacations were a new idea.
