The Rosen Creek Creeps host not a friendly place. Overpriced for what you get and the staff can be snobby and unfriendly. This was my first and last time to The Rosen Creep Hotel.

I did not actually stay in this hotel, but a couple of friends of mine did. Since I went over there to hang out a lot, I did get a feel for how everything was. It was a bit pricy, but manageable nonetheless. The one thing that comes to mind when addressing this hotel/resort is security. They had security guards posted out at the front gate that stopped and checked key cards. It wasn't too troublesome getting through without a keycard to pick up my friends to hit the clubs, but I was shocked to see anything like that. The rooms were large and the beds were soft as pillows. It seemed like a good place to stay not only because it was close to I-4 and the Orange County Convention Center, but because of the tranquil aura of the rooms--We could not hear any outside noises and the beds were comfy!

I am very likely to return to the Rosen Shingle Creek.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I was told by a staff member that I could run on the golf course area, since there were no running trails nearby. I was stopped by another man who had a golf course tag on. He said I could not run around the course which was okay. However, I said I was sorry a staff member said I could run around the course. He proceeded to tell me "NO" and pointed that I could go on the bumpy gravel trail to a nature trail, and he told me I was not even suppose to be on that. I arrived to the nature trail which was about 1/2 mile long across the golf course area. I found the congeniality and the professionalism of very lacking.

Hotel was Very Very Clean. Bedding soft and clean smelling. front desk very friendly. Steakhouse by far not even close the finest steak I have eaten in my Life. I asked the chef and they use Harris Ranch Prime. They say in life you get what you pay for.

This is the second time I have stayed at Shingle Creek and the second time my reservation has been problematic. My first stay, since they were out of rooms and 4 people in one queen bed won't work, the staff was friendly and within 30 minutes had us in 2 rooms and charged us for the price of one.

This past weekend's stay was VASTLY different. The reservations were made 4 months in advance and when I arrived, they had a room with a double bed...for 4 people! They suggested 2 roll-aways, but the double bed was tiny and 2 people could NOT fit on it, so they charged us for the second room (one queen bed). The weekend cost double and at MY EXPENSE! And did I mention that I didn't get my roll-away until after midnight? (2 hours after the request)

I was here on a family vacation. I upgraded access to the VIP Lounge which was definitely worth the $50 + tax a night. The girls in the lounge were EXCELLENT, very polite, and made me feel like i was a part of their family. Of course the parking is always an issue but you have to remember that this IS a CONVENTION hotel. I have nothing bad to say at all. I enjoyed my stay here very much and will definitely will be coming back with more family members!!!!

To begin with, the front desk staff appeared over-worked and not very hospitable. They did not smile nor did they have any concern for the well beings of their guests. I had to call houskeeping three times for towels in my room and I was charged for a movie I did not even watch! They did not offer to take it off my bill, and I had to bring in proof of my absence before I could even talk to a front desk manager. The bedding was indeed soft and comfy, but the lavatory paper and soap belonged to a value hotel, as they were rough and the soap was not very fragrant. The restrooms had the same cheap toilet paper and automatic soap dispensers, but manual water faucets. What is up with that? Every time I tried to wash my hands, the soap would dispense and I would have to clean up the mess again.

The bartenders in the lobby were unprofessional. There were two bartenders and two cocktail waitress standing behind a wall which they thought they could remain hidden and I would just go away. When I wouldn't leave, one of the bartenders skulked his way towards me and half-heartedly chucked a coctail napkin infront of me. He made me feel as if I was a burden instead of an honest paying guest.

The only upside to our stay was our diner in the Cala Bella restraunt. The manager was very polite and he personally came over to our table to ask how our dinner was. I wish I got his name, but he was a young man with short blond hair combed to the front.

Unfortunatley this one nice experience did not make up for other short comings. If you are coming to Orlando, stay at the Peabody, JW Grande Lakes or the Ritz Carlton, or the Gaylord Palms. This hotel has problems and a managing staff that could screw up a two car parade!

Magnificant Resort. It was impecably clean. There was some conjestion at check in 3PM on Saturday. The Front counter was abit over welmbed but past that the staff did eveything we asked and offerd more than needed, they never hesitaited to help. The pools are great. bars and dinning are abit expensive but in my opinion not over priced. This is a convention hotel. My wife and 2 kids had the time of our lifes. We were here 9 days and did not want to leave, we never needed for anything. The parking lot is hugh and if there is a convention the walk to the car is a minor problem, Consider valet. The golf course was as nice as the resort. During mid week when the conventions were gone we practicaly had the place to ourselves. I will admit that when all the convention clowns are around it is best to keep an eye on your women. There is a Publix 1 mile away with a McDonalds. I persdonally witnessed the staff allowing guest to use the micro waves. The refrigerators are small and not very cold. We would go back without hesitation.

Just returned from 4 days at Rosen Shingle Creek. After reading the poor reviews below I was very uncertain about going. I was not diappointed. We arrived on a day when there were 700 people checking out and 600 people checking in. No wait at check-in and our bags arrive in 10 minutes after unloading. People were very friendly. A beautiful resort. I will say that this is is a high-end business conference center and not some Disney theme focused hotel. The pools are very nice but don't have all the recreation fetures that other hotels have. Conference facilities are excellent. It is a bit out of the way, but not that bad. We were 10 minutes from all kinds of dining and recreation. The parking lot is not that far from the main entrance and was not a problem. $8.00 a day to park. it is $7.00 at the Marriott down the street. Food was good but pricey. You can go off-site for food. The rooms are very nice. This may not be the place to go if you are looking for great family stay since they don't have many on-site attractions for kids, but if you have a conference to attend there I would highly recommend it.

I loved the bed! It is a beautiful resort, with very good food and good value!

This hotel made me feel pampered: They had very nice comfortable bed and rooms. They had beautiful grounds and good service.

I am very likely to return to the Rosen Shingle Creek.

If all you care about is how the hotel looks then Shingle Creek is perfect. We were very comfortable, and the sheets were probably a high thread count. The restaurant food was really good. Still, I'm surprised that for the amount we paid for the room (which was still a discounted price for a convention) there were so many things not included. No breakfast, no free parking, no free internet. I've been to hotels where you pay under $100 a night and get all these things included plus a free newspaper! What on earth was I paying for?

It seemed to me that all these people at the Rosen Shingle Creek seem to care about are big corporate convention groups since there's a golf course there and they spend big tax deductible money in their restaurants entertaining each other. I felt I was sharing the lobby and pool area with Jackie Gleason and Ed Norton types at one of their cheesy raccoon lodge meetings TV scenes.

If you enjoy being treated like crap this is the place for you because the staff likes to play dumb when it comes to basic requests. On one day I was out all morning and when I returned about noon the room still wasn't done. Not enough cleaning staff I guess.

If you have pretty woman in your family or group like I did beware. I noticed some of those convention guys, wearing their stupid name tags, staring at the woman I was with as they walked by. I did not find this place family friendly at all. The legionaries can keep this place since I'll never go back.

I would go somewhere else in Orlando; I couldn't wait to leave Rosen Shingle Creek.

The Rosen Shingle Creek looks spectacular. That's about the only good thing I can say about it.

It sorely lacks the things you come to expect of a high-priced resort. However, their food prices were far and above the typical high prices you find at most luxury hotels. $7 hot dogs, $3 bottled water, etc. Not to mention their refusal to let guests use their microwaves for outside food.

Obviously, they feel that its remote location can let them get away with massive price gouging, which was such a colossal turn off that I won't ever stay at Shingle Creek again!

I loved the Rosen, it was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were furnished very tastefully, and the grounds were perfectly manicured.

We had a room overlooking the golf course, and it was perfect. I do admit though that we didn't have much interaction with the staff, other than the valets and the front desk staff. They were friendly and efficient. We didn't eat at the hotel either.

We did get a good rate because they had a lot of empty rooms and would definitely stay there again at a discounted price.

If you plan on staying at Shingle Creek, rent a car it will be well worth it as you are trapped, as this place is isolated.

Meals are overpriced and the service is slow. They have high cab fares to get off-site. Put all expenses on your room or pay cash and don't run a tab. I closed all of my lounge tabs with cash and they were added to my bill. My room receipt did not match my credit card statement, as they charged me an extra night's stay on my credit card. Good luck finding anybody at the front desk with authority.

I attended a convention at the resort, don't book the ballrooms for speakers as they are huge echo chambers and nobody will hear the speakers. Even if the rooms here were free, you couldn't afford to stay here.

From the very moment my husband, and my twin 19 month olds arrived at this hotel, we became very irate.

First, the valet and bellhop staff do not know how to greet weary travelers, and we were completely ignored by the staff.

Second, the front desk screwed up the dates of our reservations along with our request for a king size bed. Upon speaking to the manager, we were told that King beds are only a request and not guaranteed. He then proceeded to further insult us and did not try to rectify their mistake by providing a room upgrade.

We advised the entire front desk area that we were only staying at this resort because a relative of ours was having her wedding on the grounds. We are not the average convention traveler from Ohio. My husband and I are both attorneys from New York who have traveled the world and stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and other upscale establishments.

I would not stay there again even if I was paid to do it!
