Located at the bottom of International Drive, this hotel is in a slightly quieter location than some other hotels on the same road. The rooms are clean, comfortable and include work desks, in-room safes, and high-speed Internet access (for a fee). The outdoor splash pool and spa tub provide a nice setting to relax in and the hotel also has a fitness room with cardio machines and free weights. The hotel restaurants serve a selection of food but there are numerous shops and restaurants only a few minutes away on the I-Ride Trolley which stops at the hotel and runs to International Drive. The staff here are very helpful and although it is quite catered to business travellers, children are very welcome too.

The prominent Rosen Plaza on International Drive sits adjacent to the Orlando Convention Center and near to SeaWorld and other Orlando attractions. Guests are provided with complimentary shuttles to Universal Orlando, SeaWorld and Wet 'n' Wild. The I-Ride Trolley stops at the hotel's front door and operates along a six-mile stretch of International Drive, accessing shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. The center of the Rosen Plaza is the outdoor splash pool surrounded by towering Florida palms and a spa tub. Overlooking the pool, the Orlando hotel's fitness center features treadmills, four stationary bicycles and free weights. The hotel also features a 24-hour game room, gift shop, pizza place, 24-hour deli, 60,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space, audio-visual services, business center, and banquet and catering services. Although International Drive is packed with restaurants, guests can enjoy the hotel's fine dining at Jack's Place, which specializes in steaks, and Café Matisse's American cuisine and buffets. Decorated with ornate window treatments and gold-framed wall hangings, the 800 guestrooms include high-speed Internet access, desks, cable TVs with premium channels, and safes. Travelers shouldn't confuse the Rosen Plaza with the Rosen Centre, which is in the same block. With its vast, columned lobby, marble floors and central chandelier, the Rosen Plaza provides a stately welcome, extra convenience for conventioneers, and a good location for leisure travelers wanting to stay close to everything Orlando.

This hotel appeared to be very nice when we first arrived. We arrived with a large group, around 40 guests. The front desk staff was friendly, but the rest of the staff was not friendly or accomodaing at all. The chef at Little Bites (a small caf

I went to the Rosen Plaza for a band trip, and it was definitely a good choice. The room was well taken care of, and the food in the "Cafe Matisse" was good. I never did get the chance to check out "Jack's Place," which is the fancier of their two restaurants, but I hear that it was very nice. The concierge, while helpful, was unavailable past about nine o'clock, which was extremely annoying. The one other annoying thing was their hot tub. When it was functioning properly, it was just heavenly; however, on our second - and final - night in the hotel, the hot tub's heating system seemed not to be working correctly. The spa seemed more like a heated swimming pool than a hot tub, and when we contacted the manager, we were told that they had already been notified of the problem, and didn't know when their engineering staff would show up. I would think that four-star hotel would be able to fix their hot tub. Other than that, the experience was great (as was the location, I might add...)
