The hotel genuinely looks like pics on website. Lot of thought went into design although aspects of it are flawed-- bathroom door for instance allowed water to come out. Nonetheless, the place looks impressive and beds were comfy. Room is very functional. Breakfast buffet was welcome respite from heavy Spanish food. The food was simple and high quliaty. Location was right next to metro stop and blocks from Puerta de Sol. Staff varied from very friendly to utterly dismissive; depended on who was around. Hotel staff blew off our reservation for airport transport shuttle, which forced us to take an expensive shuttle.
