My husband and I own at the Ron Jon - we have an 8y.o. and she loves it here. We have stayed here 5 times in the past 4 years, and she can't wait to go back every year. Lots of activities for children indoors and outdoors. Trolley to and from Main building to the beachside building. We love watching the big ships pass by on their way out to sea. Another bonus is we are able to watch launches at Kennedy Space Center from our balcony! Disney and Sea World are about 45-60 minutes away. Nice beach area for young children, because it is not as congested as in more "popular" Spring Break areas. Food in main lounge is expensive, but there are plenty of places to eat in the area with more reasonable prices.
