I was supposed to stay at this hotel for 5 nights, after 1 night I had to check out with my family, thank god we found something much better for the same price(LaQuinta inn). When we entered the parking lot u didn,t know if another car was pulling out while u pulling in. The room was big but very dirty. The carpet was suppose to be green, it was black with little green spots. The bathroom was mess, the light went on and off while i was in shower i thought i was in a horror movie. The tile was full of mildew i was just trying not to touch anything. I called mangement for a iron, pillow and sheets for the pull out bed. I didn't even mention that i needed the room to be cleaned(which i should have). The guy i spoke to told me that "this is not a room service hotel if u want something come down stairs and get it". These things should be in the room when u checked in. I was so mad to say the least. To some this up, the room was dirty, customer service sucked, pool was unsanitary i wouldnt sent my dog in that pool. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the room is big and its close to the beach. I wouldnt stay in this hotel again, No one should.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed in. The parking garage is hard to navigate. The room was disgusting. Everything looked and smelled dirty. There was a boxfan left running on the dresser and the room was still hot. The room has two areas and a bathroom. The living room/kitchen area was a loveseat, dresser, table, 2 chairs, fridge, 2 burners, and a small sink. In the sink we found a dirty wash cloth. There was mold and mildew all over the bathtub walls and bathroom ceiling. The bathroom stunk like old urine, cigarette smoke (it was a non smoking room), dirty diapers, stinky feet, and I don't know what else. It is hard to explain how gross it smelled. There were stains on the walls, as well as the lampshades, from some unknown liquid. When I walked on the carpet in my barefeet there were sticky spots. Under the pull out bed of the couch there was an old half empty bag of chips along with other disgusting garbage. It was too late for me and my family to go anywhere else, plus they already had our money and wouldn't do anything until the manager came in the following morning. It was so bad that we went to a local department store and bought our own sheets, pillows, and blankets to use, as well as Lysol disinfecting spray and disinfectant cleaner that fights mold/mildew. We ended up having to stay there for 3 days because the hotel had our money and we didn't want to pay for somewhere else. I used so much cleaner on that bathroom just trying to make it suitable to take a quick shower. I honestly was tempted to take my shampoo and shower on the boardwalk. Anyway, after 3 days of spraying the tiled shower walls with mold/mildew remover the mildew began to come off. How come housekeeping hadn't already done that?? I will never stay there again. From now on I will check reviews online before I make reservations.

We booked a total of six (6) rooms for Father's day weekend and all were in terrible conditions. All six rooms were filthy/disgusting/dirty and whatever word you can think of.

1) Floors - not vacuumed, I was afraid to walk barefoot on them

2) Loveseat - dirty and stained, I was afraid to sit on it

3) Refrigerator - dirty, stained, and unclean

4) Toilet - dried fecal material in cracks of the seat

5) Bathtub/shower - Dirty, I placed towels under my feet

so I didn't have to touch the bathtub floor. The shower curtain had

stains on them

6) Lighting - very poor, some switches didn't work and hard to find

7) Parking - the garage area is a criminal’s dream, poor lighting, hard to

maneuver turns, huge pillars, and small spaces

Of my 28 years on this earth, this hotel by far is the worst I have ever stayed in! I do not recommend this hotel at all and I urge everyone reading this review to spend your money else where. The conditions of this hotel made me feel totally uncomfortable.

This hotel was very dirty. We had to have someone come and clean the refrigerator in the room because it was moldy and it stank. The furniture in the room was stained, had holes, and was abused. The rooms were very dirty in general.

I am not likely to return to the Rodeway Inn Virginia Beach.
I would not recommend it to friends.
