For over $80 per night, I expect the room to be clean, and items to be in functional order, and as stated in my reservation. The items which were supposed to be in the room and were not:
A hairdryer
A clock radio alarm
A 2-person whirlpool tub
I reserved the room for four people, yet had to go inquire about additional bath towels because only two were left for our use. The beds are crammed together in one room with limited space between them. The heat was supposed to be adjustable, but no matter how high you might turn the dial up, the heat stayed at 64f.
There was a stove in the room that had rust on every burner, and there was a paper wedge and packing tape on the bottom of it (assumed to keep it together?). The floor was dirty when we arrived, an old toothbrush was on top of the light fixture, and a cardboard soda box was propping up one side of the refrigerator. The tub really was not what I'd consider clean since it was mildewy, and the sink did not appear to be cleaned. Did housekeeping actually exist for this room?
Not only did I send a formal complaint to the parent company of this hotel, my friends and I did not stay the second night we'd paid for, and instead spent more money to stay at the very nice Best Western up the street that was worth the money!
