Rodeway Inn Pensacola Motel - Page 1

We booked two rooms based on this property being part of Choice Hotels. The smell when we entered the room assaulted our senses -- I believe it was overused cheap disinfectant. The rooms were dirty and in disrepair. The toilet seat had what appeared to be mold, light switches had be repaired poorly, sheets dirty, and the furniture was dirty and had cigarette burns on them. The rooms were $83.61 each including tax.

I reserved one room for us and one for my son and his family. I couldn't let my grandchildren stay the night in that awful place. The front desk told me since we arrived after 4:00pm; we were not entitled to a refund. The property management said we stayed in the room over an hour, which unfortunately it shows we checked in 50 minutes before we checked out, but most of that time we were waiting on our son who had stopped for diapers.

We consequentially went not even one block to Comfort Inn, where the clerk was so nice and the rooms were clean and smelled fresh. These rooms that were so much better were only $5.00 more a night.

I will never again assume that a Choice Hotel is clean and comfortable as declared on their website and I will never ever stay at a Rodeway Inn --even if it meant spending the night in the car at a rest stop!!

This property is a total pit--falling down or apart. The rooms were semi-clean and the toilet didn't flush. We checked out within one hour of checking in. The management did not want to discuss our problem and the desk staff was rude.
