Rodeway Inn Ocean City Hotel - Page 1

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions because of the location, comfort, and service. My advice is to make reservations as early as possible and to get a beach side room.

I liked it, it was okay.

The Rodeway Inn that we stayed at was brand new and well maintained. It provided everything we needed to make our trip pleasant.

I made the reservation well in advance and a $5 deposit was taken from my credit card. I called the two days before my arrival, and was confirmed as having a room. I arrived at the hotel to be told by the manager, or so he claimed to be, that my confirmation was cancelled because my credit card was declined. I had another card to pay the balance but it seemed that the "manager" had given my room away. This left me and three other senior citizens stranded in Ocean City where no one wanted to rent a hotel room for one night, only three nights. Since we only needed one night we were in a very tight jam.

The "manager" as well as the two men with him laughed and said it was not their problem. They said they had called me at 4.30 to tell me the card did not go through but my phone never rang. I showed them the confirmation paper and they laughed even harder saying they didn't care what paper I had, I had no room as they had given my room away. The manager and staff insulted and embarrassed me. Would I use their services again? Absolutely not. Will I contact management over this abuse given out by the staff of the Rodeway Inn? Absolutely. This was a disaster and the worst part was the insulting, degrading treatment that I and my guests were given at the hands of the employees of this hotel.
