Not much to like about this one!! Room was dirty, tiles, floor and sink in bathroom not clean; especially walls and floor. Thick dust on edge of tile and spots all over the wall plus a layer of dust you could see!! Toilet was shut off; no water...
55 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
My husband and I stayed in the Hanover, PA Howard Johnson's (which changed hands the previous day to Econo Lodge). First of all, we were never informed of the name change so that was a little confusing when looking for the hotel; no big deal but it would have been nice to know in advance.
We reserved a non-smoking room. I wanted to see the room after seeing some reviews the morning that we were leaving (didn't see that page when booking or I wouldn't have considered this place since many complained of unclean rooms and bedbugs!) I told the booking agent when I called that I would not take a filthy room which had bedbugs, and she said that no refunds would be offered! I inspected the room before deciding to stay, and it wasn't really very clean but, did not see signs of bedbugs, so decided to stay since all hotels were booked for graduation week. We left for our activities after signing in. When we returned at 10 PM, we found that the toilet in our room didn't work, and that the water for the toilet had been turned off. I went down to complain, and to ask to have our fees adjusted to reflect this situation. Desk clerk said she would inform manager. During the night, our room filled with the smell of cigarette smoke; don't know where it was coming from but I have severe allergies, and had to cover my face with a sheet to keep from breathing it in. Walls in bathroom were dirty; hadn't been dusted in quite some time. Floors were not vacuumed thoroughly because there was paper and little plastic tags on the floor from tags on clothing. Hair on pillows and sheets. Sheets were not even tucked into the bed. Moldy smell in room. I told the front desk clerk when checking out that I wanted an adjustment in my prepaid bill but he said that he couldn't do anything but have the manager call us. Call never came. Stay far away from this place. Talked to three other guests who had similar experiences. This is a bad place. Sleep in your car before choosing this one!

I had a king premium room for 2 nights. When it was quiet time you could hear a faint, high pitched tone that prevented sleeping. Even with repeated requests to the service desk through out the day, no one ever fixed the problem. Unacceptable! The...
I reserved a block a rooms for a soccer tournament and the hotel was a disgrace. There were mice and bedbugs in some of the rooms. Some of us were overcharged and others had their reservations cancelled by the hotel. They would only give us 4...
