We stayed here for one night on a Saturday. First let me say that in reviewing previous reviews, you get some that say this place is horrible and others say it's great. I think I can explain. The Rodeway bought and remodeled a hotel that is across the street from the office and the hotel on that side. So if people are staying on the office side they hate it and if they stay across the street they like it. I stayed across the street in room 218. It was a basic queen room with balcony overlooking the pool and spa. The room is kinda small but more cozy then cramped. The room was very clean with all new fixtures and the shower was really clean and nice with no mold or anything like that. There is a 25" TV with remote and a combination A/C heater in the wall that worked well. There is no fridge or microwave in the room, but there is a micowave next to the ice machine in the hallway for everyone's use. There also is an elevator. There is no dresser to put your clothes in, but there is a closet. The pool was closed (it is November!) but the hottub was functioning and was very good. The people in the office were very nice, allowing us to checkout late (noon) with no problem. They also have free WIFI that worked fine in my room. The hotel is walking distance to the casinos (about 4 blocks) up a mild incline and about 2 blocks to the private beach. Overall, I would say that the Rodeway was more then fine for anyone looking for quick weekend getaway and want a very conveniently located clean and fairly modern room. Just remember to be across the street from the office.

The Rodeway Inn had very nice staff @ check in. We got an up grade! Also, this place is perfect if you are a ski/snowboard junkie and all you need to do is shower and sleep here. The hotel room was clean ( linens, towels, bathroom). They also h

Dirty, dingy and just unsanitary! we had paid for 3 nights and were so grossed out by the conditions we ended up only staying one night where NONE of us slept due to the LOUD partying college kids next to us. The rug looked like it had fungus...

My wife and I stayed the night at the Rodeway in the units across the street from the main section, next to the pool. The bed was on the hard side, but that was preferrable to overly soft. The manager said the beds were next on the renovation list....

First of all there is not a casino in the hotel...although the casinos are a 10 min walk away. When we open the door to the entrance of the rooms, there was a foul smell of mold and mildew. The handrails were in need of painting, chipped and worn off from many years of use. The carpet was dirty and had large clumps of dust/carpet fibers in the corners behind the doors. Only amenities were 2 little tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Nothing on the walls and only 2 small bath towels. This hotel is very "tired" and in dire need of an "extreme makeover". The room charge of $119 for one night. It was so bad there that we didn't want to return to our room.
MY HUSBAND AND I GO TO TAHOE ALOT AND JUST SO HAPPEND TO FIND THIS ROOM ONLINE.IT LOOKED RUNDOWN WHEN WE GOT THERE BUT WE GAVE IT A SHOT. AFTER WE CHECKED IN THEY SENT US ACCROSS THE STREET TO THEIR OTHER BULDING WHICH LOOKED ALOT NICER SO WE WERE...
