Chic and distinguished, Hotel Amigo stands next to the historic and picturesque Grand Place, one of Europe's most beautiful squares. Completely renovated, the hotel retains some of its traditional features to preserve its history. Among these are an 18th-century Flanders wall tapestry and cool paving stones which were originally used in the surrounding streets in 1600. Guest rooms and suites, redesigned in contemporary and art deco styles, offer individually controlled air-conditioning, computer and fax connections, in-room safe, mini-bar, and marble bathroom. Hotel Amigo is part of the Rocco Forte Collection. The number of rooms is 174 in total, including 19 suites. In the rooms, guests also find a trouser press and a two-line telephone.

The location is wonderful. Not only is it close to the Grande Place, but also only a ten to twenty minute walk to many of the different areas around town. I had some problems during my stay but they were handled immediatly. The price is higher...
A five star hotel that's worth each one. Loved this hotel! PERFECT LOCATION! The service was outstanding...so helpful and pleasant. Rooms were warm, chic and so comfortable. The hotel restaurant serves awesome breakfast buffet and Italian meals. ...

"Amigo" in Brussels means a jail cell, which is not surprising seeing that it is located not far from the police station, just off Grand-Place. I remember walking to school one morning during an EU summit and who do I see getting out of the hotel...
