Nice cheap motel

51 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for business

I have been staying at this small motel when I travel to Roanoke a few times each year going on twenty years now. The owners and staff seem to be the same nice people. Furniture same as in 1980s Ok. TV cable local with HBO. TVs old but work. Clean and quiet in nice sized room in quiet ok neighborhood. Home private garden in back by owners.. Nice pool that they took out last summer (2006) not sure on why. Many rooms have small fridge and microwave you plug in. Very good value for the money. Restraunt next door and in walking distance of motel. Great value for the money.

33 year old male with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

A perfectly acceptable old motel. The room was very large, but the furnishings were cheap and about 20 years old. The bathroom was the original '50s decor, which I love. If you're on a budget, there's no reason not to check this one out.

I am very likely to return to the Roanoker Motor Lodge.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
