Hotel or Halfway House? – Posted Aug 16, 2008

Horrible
35 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I was greeted for an entire week at the door by Jaba the Hut bumming smokes. The room was filthy with a con-caving mattress to go along with no towels or shampoo. The bathroom seeped smoke from the rooms around. The cleaning staff did not change the bedding once the entire stay. The carpet in the room was not only filthy (according to my socks) it was also sticky. Bikes were abundant for the many long term guest without vehicles. The last night of the stay a young out of it gal sat on the door way step crying and yelling for who knows what or who. I suggest staying anyplace but here.

Never Call There – Posted Jul 13, 2008

Horrible
60 year old female with a moderate budget

Never try calling the Road Star Inn - Appleton, Wisconsin.

They are very rude, ignorant, especially when calling a person or party who

is staying there. The call will never get through, and you will get put on hold,

limbo, inactive.

Then try calling back.

They won't answer, after trying many times.

Stay away - the place is a dump.

The Salvation Army would be better to stay at.

Unacceptable – Posted Oct 09, 2007

Horrible
50 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I knew that this hotel wasn't the Hilton, but I did expect a clean bathroom and decent beds. Wrong!! The bathroom had mold all around the tub- I didn't even shower. The shower curtain was dirty and there was dirt in the corners. One of the beds was so bad that my husband sat up in the chair all night. When I complained to the assistant manager on duty, she only gave me a $10 credit. I thought the room should have been comped.

Excellent
35 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business

I stayed 3 nights at the Road Star Inn, and we were quite pleased. It's an average hotel that could use some sprucing up, but there are a few nice touches, such as mini-refrigerators and microwave ovens in each room. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was great! There are "store-bought" cookies available in the lobby 24/7, and a light continental breakfast is served.
