Most motels on the strip on from the 60's and might not be too clean, but the prices are affordable. I stayed at the Riviera our motel door was dirty and the room smelled stale and musty, the outdoor front jacuzzi was not working and the pool had some type of crumbs or crushed stones at the bottom. We were eventually moved to the newly remodeled King suites which were much better, but when we ran the room jacuzzi the water had dirty particles floating. The day we checked out,our wristbands expired(the wristbands were supposed to good the day of checkout) and we couldn't get into Mt. Olympus and we were supposed to get a discount at the Broadway Theatre, the front desk told us it started at 7pm, but after driving to theatre found out it was from 12-5pm. I wouldn't stay there again, I would rather stay at a Hilton or other reputable hotel.
We stayed at Riviera this summer. The stay was very confortable and pleasant. The room was really nice with great amenities like whirlpool, fireplace (although you dont need in summer), nice kitchen we used for preparing food and on. The beautiful i

Good
The location is good, the rooms are clean. The business is old, but well maintained throughout the years. Good small place on the path, but yet not in the lime light. Pool is nice. Recommended.
Nice, clean place to stay located right

Okay
Nice, clean place to stay located right on the strip in the Dells area. This motel has been here a long time, they do a nice job of maintaining it. Nothing fancy, outdoor pool. Competitive rates.
old...but nice and affordable

Good
My children and I stayed here on july 28-31,2008. It was clean, friendly staff and great water park tickets were included. I was disappointed that there was no washer and dryer for guests and no breakfast offered, but everything else in our suite...
I could have paid $99 a night for a hotel at Disney World, there is no way this even compares, it should have cost us $35 a night. We were robbed. Very disappointed upon arrival. The place does not look like the same place in the pictures. The room ...

We stayed in a bungalow suite at the Riviera for 3 nights in August. We booked it even though some of the reviews made us a little nervous. We were told there was new management and hoped some of the problems were taken care of with "renovations". We liked the packages they offered with free tickets to Mt. Olympus and compared to other motels with suites in this area the price was better. The pictures on their website are deceiving - the rooms are pretty small and definately not as nice as they appear in the pictures. The carpet was dirty, if not even sticky in spots. The air conditioning worked well but the vents and filter area was filthy. Sheets are not fitted on the mattress - just flat sheets pulled up and ultimately you wake up on a bare mattress in the morning. There were several notes posted around the room stating you would have to pay $50.00 if you...did not wash dishes....candle wax was left on the carpet....whirlpool overflowed. This just seemed very unprofessional to me. The motel itself is run down and I saw few signs of "renovation". There is no continental breakfast (even though the website suggests there is) The outdoor pool area was significantly smaller than what it appears in pictures. It is fun for kids about 7 years old and younger. The indoor pool was never in use while we were there. We are a family on a budget and we likely saved between $400-$500 staying here (considering Mt. Olympus tickets and difference in room costs at other motels) BUT if I had to do it again - I would spend the money and stay elsewhere. The Kalahari, Wilderness Lodge, or even the resort at Mount Olympus looked far more appealing. I would never go back to the Riviera and felt deceived by their website. As, my husband said, it was "tolerable" but never again.

We had king whirlpool suite. The windows were full of mold. I was not impressed with pool area, it was not child friendly.
Electrical outlets in room needed repair as did bathroom tub. The whirlpool in room was very large. The room was generally clean. We had to pay extra to spend day at another water park to keep our toddler occupied since the hotel indoor pool was not for kids.
The photos on the website were deceiving. The price was over $100 per night in March + $15 per person for Mt. Olympus. I complained to management with no response.
