I stayed at the Riviera in March 2006 for three nights and four days. I had a fabulous time, the staff was very helpful, and the rooms were nice and clean. The only criticism I would make is that check-in was long (about an hour's wait in line) after an already tiring 5 hour flight. We had pre-requested a smoking room and were given a non-smoking room. So, I had to come all the way back to the front desk to switch and stand in line for another 1/2 hour. Bus transportation along the strip was amazing – I never needed to wait, there was always a bus there. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend the Riviera.

When we arrived at the hotel at about 4:00 pm, we were surprised it was so crowded in the lobby. The check in line was so long, and it was not moving at all. We were tired and hungry, and had to wait there for about an hour and half. This is almost the record I got for any hotels.

The room was ok, big, seems clean. But who cares, you not supposed to stay in hotel at all when you are in Las Vegas, right? The hotel staff was pretty good. So, other than the long check-in line, we were OK with the hotel. But if I go there again, I may try some other hotels then. Also to mention, the restaurant seems pretty good!

The Riviera Hotel is a good value for Las Vegas. It was very famous in the fifties, but has decayed a little now. It's located on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard, although probably a mile from the most important attractions like the Bellagio and other well know casinos. However, the hotel was clean and so were the rooms, in a very standard decoration (think Holiday Inn). But the prices are really good: around 80 dollars during weekdays, and 130 during weekends. It has your usual slot machines, a couple of bars and restaurants, and it's located near a food court. So it's an excellent option for a budget trip to Sin City.

The Riviera had a grungy Las Vegas feel, and was not the cleanest place.

The Riviera is located on the north end of the strip but it is still close enough to everything. The monorail stop is nearby. There are lots of dining options inside the hotel.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: The staff was friendly and felt at ease in the facility, which made me feel comfortable.

Older hotel, past its prime and in need of updating. Staff were marginally competent.

This hotel made me feel excited: Lots of great restaurants and games, never left the hotel, unbelievable!

This hotel made me feel relaxed: Balcony room w/view of hills. Poolside.

This hotel made me feel content: I felt comfortable staying there and there was plenty to do in the casino and in the surrounding areas so it made me quite content to stay there.

The room was filthy. There were crumbs all over the floor, and mildew in the shower.

The check-in process was slow. I was with the prepaid legal leadership summit in September, 2004. A small number of agents were assigned to check-in prepaid legal members. In 2005, the leadership summit will be at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The service staff is always willing to go the extra mile for you, and like that.

Rooms were free - we gamble and are comped.
