my husband and i stayed here in July 08 and we were pleasantly surprised. this motel is in a great location in perkins cove with a lovely view of the cove and the ocean beyond. walk over the walking bridge and visit the shops, restaurants, or take a cruise on a tour boat, or fishing boat. walk the marginal way (fantastic views) to ogunquit village or take the trolly. we didn't have to drive anywhere for 3 days, everything was within walking distance. the motel was very clean with a comfortable king bed and fridge. the best part was the deck where we sat looking out over the cove in the morning and before dinner. the room is not fancy but newly remodeled and very comfortable, fairly spacious, and clean. my only complaint was the "continental breakfast" which was really just packaged donuts, coffee, and juice. too many hotels along the maine cost have lovely exteriors that draw you in only to find a high priced shabby room with horrible beds! not so at the riverside - we will definately stay here again!
