I called them & was quoted a rate & I accepted & booked the room- the next day someone called to say the staff gave me the wrong info & the price was higher- I told them nevermind & I wanted to cancel then, it was like well over a week away and the canc policy said just 72 hrs ahead- the manager was very rude & threatened to charge my card anyways for "the fun of it" and hung up on us several times. I reported them to the BBB. I would never stay there, they are very unprofessional, rude & fraudulent.

From them I learned to never rent from mean-spirited owners who do not smile. Never rent a jeep from them. They will slap bogus charges on your bill at the end which you will have to contest with your CC co. There are other jeep rental places and many other inns to stay at in Ouray.

Our motel room was clean (maybe) the first night but it was not ready until 1:30 PM. We finished up the tissue box in the room on the 2nd morning and it was not replaced until the day before we left, 6 days later. I even left the empty box in the sink (for two days) so they would notice but they didn't touch it or even clean the sink. There was also a little instruction flyer saying that if we did not want the sheets changed, we should leave the flyer on the bed. Since the sheets were patched, I wanted new sheets. Each day the beds were made up but the sheets were NEVER changed. I even hid the 'don't change the sheets' flyer in a drawer but the sheets still were not changed. When people used the metal staircase, it was VERY loud and disturbing late at night. The hot tub was full of leaves and we could hear running water all night long under the bath tub drain. We won't be back.

This is our second time traveling to Ouray, we would like to retire here someday. Brought the kids and stayed in a Cabin at the Riverside Inn. Price is close to the same as a hotel room, but we have an private riverside cabin with kitchen & bathroom. Queen size bed, with a second queen mattress in the loft. Decent TV, but no cable & the antenna makes it barely viewable.
