I stayed an extra day in New Orleans after being comped the first night on Harrah's. With no festivals, etc. on a Sunday, Wyndham charged my credit card 387.00 for the night. They said that was the standard rate. I am looking at their rate now with the Essence Festival on Saturday, and they are charging 199.00 for the night. I think I got screwed. Never again. Lobby was a bore, missing handle on dresser. No blow dryer. Need a PHD to figure out their remote control.

The hotel was a free compliment of Harrah's casino. It was in walking distance to the casino and several tourist attractions and across the street from the River Walk.
This hotel made me feel welcome: There were security guards all around and visible hotel employees. I never felt alone or afraid.

The location of this hotel was perfect for activities in the French Quarter and along the Riverwalk. Our three-day stay was too short for all the things to see and do in this area. We could go to the casino, or hop on the trolley to access other parts of the city and not need a private car at all. I highly recommend this hotel for the comfort, friendliness, and location.
This hotel made me feel relaxed: The friendly staff made eye contact as we approached the check in counter. They smiled and warmly welcomed us. The color selection chosen in the decor evoked a sense of peace before even unlocking the room door. The hotel was extremely quiet for New Orleans.

My friend and I were very impressed by The Riverfront Hotel. We loved the comfortable beds and fluffy pillows! The room boasted a breathtaking view of the river. The staff was wonderful and the meals were great! A great price for excellent service!
