I am not the one usually to complain but lets just say that the pictures are nothing like the actual Hotel. The room was very dirty. The bathroom had long black hairs all over the door, walls, and shower. The woman serving breakfast was very rude. I can honestly say this was the worse hotel I have ever been to.
I am not likely
to return to the River Park Hotel and Suites.
I would not recommend it to friends.
This is one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The first day only 1 of the 2 elevators worked, the second day it broke and we were instructed to use the service elevator, and the third day it broke too, forcing the use of the dingy, dimly-lit stairs. I would hate to have been on the 15th floor!
The entire place seemed very dirty - the walls, the carpets, the drapes, the windows, the elevators, the stairs, etc. There was no internet access, despite advertisements that this service was included. There was also no gym, the front desk staff was not very helpful, and parking was available only by a very slow-moving valet. I'm not sure where the valet parked my car during my 4-night stay, but the windshield was full of leaves and the steering wheel was sticky and dirty when the car was returned.
The ONLY good thing about the hotel is the location. The rest needs a major overhaul to be bearable.

This hotel has one of the oddest lobbies I've seen. Who ever decorated was so keen on flower prints that they decided to do them on all the furniture as well as the carpet. There's some decent art and great mirrors, but at least the art seems mismatched. Weird.
All that (about the lobby) said, the staff were really nice, and the location is pretty good. It has a bar and a piano. A decent choice for central Miami.
Keep in mind: the wifi is the slowest I've ever used.

I just stayed at the River Park Hotel & Suites on June 29. We were leaving for a cruise and needed a place to stay for the night. Our room had BED BUGS! BEWARE! When the staff was contacted, housekeeping came. They sais "Those bugs aren't that big" and seemed irritated that we called. We were upgraded to a suite on a different floor because they would not refund our money. The new room was adequate with no bed bugs, but I got absolutely no sleep. Please beware and check your beds if you decide to stay at this hotel.

I found this hotel on the internet a few months ago and was absolutely surprised when my wife and I checked into our room. For the price, I was blown away..great room size, furniture and hotel ammenities! You've got to check this one out.

The parking here is a major problem. The valet was rude and never at his post, and it is impossible for more than 2 cars to pull into the overhang driveway area. The people who worked at the front desk were not helpful. When we booked our room, they gave us the impression that we were booking a SUITE. Apparently to this hotel a suite is a room with 2 double beds and a couch in it. When we asked the front desk staff for help with finding medicine for a sick traveler, they advised us to walk down the street to the Hyatt (in downtown Miami at 2am). Never ever again will I consider staying at this dump.

My husband and stayed at the hotel on April the 13th we have never seen such a dirty room curtains torn holes in the curtains windows so dirty, walls and carpet full of stains make sure you wear slippers there are even holes in the wall. The bathroom is terrible and to top it all off my husbands phone and my jewelery was stolen. The pool and grounds are not maintained the only good thing is it is near the pier we should have read the reviews prior before bookin but we booked through hotels.com what a ba choice they made for us, again to not stay at this hotel.

My family was having a reunion on a cruise so I booked through an online website, a place that would be close to the pier. Then I passed the info on to the family. They booked directly through the hotel and it was $28 cheaper. Needless to say I was disappointed with the website. The hotel was perfect for our needs with a shuttle that ran to the pier. We were originally told the shuttle was free a service to guest, but when we arrived at the pier the man charged us. He held the luggage until we paid.
