We had free rooms at the Harrah's hotel in Reno, in 2005, and free rooms at the Rio hotel in Las Vegas, in 2006, all part of a promotion we received after my wife won a large slot machine jackpot. Harrah's is a classy operation.

The accommodations at the Rio hotel were excellent while the amenities like the fitness center and the pool were great at the Harrah's hotel.

The Rio in Las Vegas is a great place for young adults to stay. They have many outside pools and they play loud music. Inside the casino, they are known for having the only male cocktail waiters in Las Vegas and they all have to sing and or dance, up on a podium by the machines and tables. Also, most of the bars have Flair bartenders, so watching them make the drinks is fun.

This hotel made me feel comfortable: I traveled by myself and never felt unsafe. There is security around all the time and if any people are acting out of control or drunk, they quickly will remove them.

My stay at Harrahs was very pleasant I would rather stay at a Harrahs hotel than any other hotel. The staff was very friendly and the environment in the hotel was great.

They have a great staff that always goes out of their way to make us comfortable and happy.

Most of the people there were courteous. They have nice pools however the hot tubs are not in good working order. It was clean.

Staying in Las Vegas is always hit or miss. I recently stayed at the Rio and had a pretty decent experience. The hotel is getting a bit tired, but is still functional and comfortable.

I attended a meeting in the conference facility and had a couple of decent meals in the restaurants on the property. The lobby is noisy and smoky with all of the gaming tables, but that’s Vegas. My room was big and very quiet.

The only other downside is that this hotel is not on the strip but rather 1/2 mile away. It’s not a bad stay, but probably not a repeat.

I like the rooms and overall quality of the property. The staff is always excellent. The restaurants are diverse and food is always excellent.

Everyone at the Rio makes us feel like family, from the front desk personnel, to the servers and managers in the restaurants, to the people on the casino floor. I wouldn't stay anywhere else, just based on the level of service we receive.
