the front desk confirmed that we would be paying cheap rates for the first 3 nights and then charge the 4th night the regular price. when we arrived at the hotel, then changed it and said that they were going to charge the regular price for all 4 nights. do not call to make reservations here. they will not note any specific details requested over the phone. while there, they shut down the pool. their "every hour" performance was cancelled half the time. the buffet was ridiculously bad. stale and undercooked food. i stayed here in july 2008.

I must say the hotel was spectacular! Everything was immaculate! The staff were sincere, and extremely helpful. Our room was pretty big, and was very comfortable. The entertainment was outta this world. If you get a chance, you MUST visit the I-Bar. What a one of a kind place!!! I was glad my friend turned me onto a site where he got VIP passes to I-bar, and just about every other club in Vegas for $10. I visited las vegas nightclub deals dot net and purchased my own. I didn't wait in line, and I got the VIP treatment all night!

I won't stay there again ttdc – Posted Jun 05, 08

I booked a room thru the Rio's website and got a great internet rate of $75 midweek. But the room we were given, although spacious, needed to be redecorated badly. The carpets and bedspread appeared to have not been updated for many, many years. I don't know if this was because of the rate or because we were in the older tower. The picture of the rooms on their website did not match the room we received. The other negative was the poor food quality in the coffee shop. However the food in the seafood buffet was quite good. The staff was friendly but with all the choices in Vegas, I would pay a little more and stay in a nicer hotel.

1 reviews  35 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for business

During a recent stay at Rio in Las Vegas, I began to wonder about the cleanliness of the rooms. After watching a Fox News hidden camera report about hotel house keeping staff in numerous national hotels violating health code standards by hand washing guest room drinking glasses in the bathroom sinks with dirty towels, I thought I would put Rio to the test. After marking two used drinking glasses in my room with ink, I left them on the counter to be replaced by the house keeping staff. Later, after the room had purportedly been cleaned, the same glasses were placed back on the shelf, with the ink marks still clearly visible. It was apparent to me they had not been sanitized according to the hotel's stated sanitizing procedures. Could this mean that when a guest checks out, this same method of glass cleaning occurs while preparing the room for the next guest?

When I brought it to the attention of one of the managers, he was embarrassed and made assurances it would not happen again. He then appeared to attempt to rationalize the unsanitary conditions by stating that I would likely find the same glass washing practices at other hotels on the Las Vegas strip. He said he could not possibly monitor the cleaning methods of "all 500" of his house keeping staff. He further stated that there were some problems with the house keeping training program that probably needed to be reviewed.

I filed a complaint with the local health department which, within days, conducted in an inspection at Rio. According to the inspector who conducted the inspection, not removing dirty drinking glasses from a room and replacing them with properly sanitized glasses is in fact a health code violation. She went on to say that she has definitely has “concerns with the glass handling process” at Rio and that those concerns “will be addressed” by the health department. Other cleanliness issues in my room included a "clean" hand towel placed in my room that had a large black apparent grease stain on it; a clogged shower drain and hair (not my own) found in the purportedly newly laundered bed sheets. Based upon my experience and the concerns of the health department inspector, guests should be very cautious of sanitary issues at Rio.

I am not likely to return to the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino.
I would not recommend it to friends.

Me and my friend only had one day to see Vegas. The Rio is just off the main Vegas strip which pulls the price down slightly, which makes it brilliant for backpackers who are on a limited budget. It has its own casino and great entertainment. It also has rooftop bar called the VooDoo Lounge, it has an amazing view of the vegas strip from its rooftop terrace.

When you've had your fill of the amazing views and the nightlife at The Rio you and easily get a cab in to the main part of the strip from outside the hotel.

Definitely stay there again if going back to Las Vegas.

I am very likely to return to the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was an excellent experience! The only problem was a set of room lights that would not work but they were able to solve the problem. The restaurants were outstanding! The casino was great. The bed and the pillows were as good as any I have ever had. I l

This hotel made me feel null: Having a great bed at a hotel is the basis for all comfort and mine was terrific. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding in all the three restaurants I used.
