Ridgeview Motel Motel - Page 1

We travel often, and go to Branson several times a year. This was, by far, the WORST place we have stayed. The "view" could only be seen from an upstairs room. Our room was tiny, with one small window. It was so high that the children couldn't even look out.

The carpeting was coming away from the bathroom entrance and my husband ended up hurting his foot. I guess it was a staple. We had to lift the kids up over it to use the bathroom!

We had paid for two nights, but decided to leave after one. It was difficult to even find Erma. I went in multiple times in the morning and rang the bell. No sign of anyone, except a dog that wanted attention. Coffee was brewing, but there were no signs of life. I finally got ahold of her at nearly 10am. They must sleep in.

I was told I could not be fully reimbursed for the night we would not stay (even though I was checking out on time.) That is NOT typical. Usually you give your card information and you are billed for the nights you stay. It was very frustrating to have such a horrible experience and then lose money, too. :-( Argh.

The hospitality is great. We enjoy coming to this little motel and are treated just like family. We have stayed here many times and request the exact room we want. We always get the room on the top floor in the back so we can over look the valley and the beautiful view that is described in "Shepherd of the Hills". The fireworks display at Celebration City can be seen from the porch in front of "our room". It is close to Silver Dollar City and has easy acess to Branson. We have recommended Ridgeview to our friends and family who are looking for nice accommodations for a budget price. We will be returning this year several times.

My wife and I stayed at the Ridgeview for three nights. It was quiet and had a great view of Branson. It is easy to get from the motel to any location in the area. We had a "nightcap" just down the road at the Chateau on the Lake. It's a great place to stay and save a little money to spend on more activities.
